We hope you had an amazing time at the May 4th launch of Skyline Park, our 21 acre green space and home to one of the highest points in the neighborhood. With all of the activity at the pavilion, event lawn, splash pad, and many play areas, we think this park got the big opening celebration it deserved!
Skyline Park features two different playground areas as well as swings, hillside slides, and a zip line! Kids ages 5 up to adults will love our 3-story playscape featuring a 3-story slide and multiple connecting structures as well as our own miniature version of the Pennybacker Bridge called the Mini Penny! A playscape for kids ages 2 – 5 offers lower climbing structures and bright rubber mounds that are great for running, bouncing, and jumping.
The highest point in Skyline Park is home to Singing Mountain, a large-scale public artwork designed by local artist and architect Nicholas DeBruyne. Chosen from more than 168 entries by the Easton Park Public Art Committee, this kinetic wind sculpture has three red wind paddles that spin as they catch the breezes above, transmitting kinetic energy to clappers that strike giant tubular chimes.
